Watch face sharing: "include with data" option missing for Weather App in Watch App ( IOS 26 / WatchOS 26 ).

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Thanks but I do have my reasons. The option to include data with the complication was there before updating to IOS / WatchOS 26 and I am looking for a fix to get it back.

The preview image of the shared face without data looks awful and not at all representative of the face on the watch. In order to get an accurate preview image I need it to be created with data.

The person you donate the face to will get weather data relevant to them when they install the face.

It is not intended as a true representation, it is a sharing tool.

Thank you for your reply.

As I mentioned, I have my reasons. I have been making use of the automatically generated preview images since Apple face sharing became possible. The previews are being generated correctly for some complications but not others. I am trying to find a way to fix the problem that was introduced with IOS/WatchOS 26.

Does anyone know what could be causing the problem and how to fix it?

I agree, if it is an intentional change then I will have to live with my disappointment. What I am hoping for though is that this is in fact some kind of configuration / settings issue that can be fixed and maybe someone knows how to do that. Thank you for the link - I will try that as well.

This is the problem I am trying to solve - Apple encourages people to share their faces but some face sharing sites only make use of the automatically generated preview and no-one will be interested in downloading a face that looks like the one on the right.

Also, just for people's information, Google AI said that it is a known bug ( I don't know if that is true though ) and that un-pairing and re-pairing as a new watch can solve the problem - that did not work for me.
