ASUS ZenDrive V1M (SDRW-08V1M-U) not mounting volumes with new iMac (OS26)

I am trying to set up my new ASUS ZenDrive V1M (SDRW-08V1M-U) with my blue iMac (Sept 2025 model) runnning iOS26. Power goes to the unit to allow for door to open and close along with some spinning of drives BUT, no volumes are mounted. Can any one chime in with some troubleshooting ideas about getting this to function correctly?

Use a powered USB hub

This solves the issue most of the time.

The ZenDrive draws more power than macOS 26’s USB-C ports like to give. A powered hub gives it steady juice so the drive initializes fully.
