Bought an iphone through a non-apple retailer. I want to purchase 2 year apple care warranty. Can I purchase apple care using gift cards? When I try to purchase apple care on the phone I don't see the payment option to pay with gift card. Help would be appreciated, thank you!
Are the gift cards, Apple Gift Cards? If you have gift cards from some other retailer, that wouldn't work. While I didn't think you could use Apple Gift Cards this support article from Apple says you can --> What you can buy with your Apple Gift Card or Apple Account balance - Apple Support
Whether you can do this online or not, I'm not sure. You may need to visit an Apple Store in-person to do this.

According to the information I found, you cannot start an Apple Care subscription with a gift card. You must add an active payment option. Then the monthly payments can be deducted from your gift card. However, you must remember to redeem your gift card.
"For some recurring charges, like AppleCare+, you can't start your subscription with Apple Account balance. But as long as you keep another valid payment method on file and your Apple Account balance would cover an entire charge, your recurring charge will be pulled from your Apple Account balance."
