On my phone I use the Preview app to scan documents into PDF form. A few days ago using Preview I scanned 4 pages. It appears as though I did not save the scanned documents, however I know I saw them in preview. Are those scans recoverable?
They’re most likely still on your phone, tucked away in the Files app — usually inside the iCloud Drive “Downloads” folder where Preview saves scanned PDFs by default. If you didn’t manually delete them, they should still be waiting there quietly like misplaced socks.
Virtually identical issue. Scans don't appear in any of the locations suggested by AI, nor in iPhone searches suggested by AI. Luckily, I can scan them again using non-Apple apps
still no luck. I searched every folder in the preview app. I searched the iCloud drive to no avail. any other ways to find cached or temporary scanned pdf?
