Why does my brand new Iphone 17 Pro show up as My old phone (Iphone 15 Pro) in settings?

Why? The usual reason woulds be that you transferred settings or a backup of your old iPhone 15 to the new iPhone 17.
On the iPhone 17......
Tap Settings
Tap General
Tap About
Tap on Name
You should now be able to edit the Name to whatever you want.
