Can't do an iCloud backup on new iPhone 17 Pro Max.

I just had the Apple store transfer everything from my iPhone 15 Pro Max to my new 17 Pro Max. The person who did it for me used iCloud. I never had a message on that phone that I didn't have enough iCloud storage available. I have now tried to backup what is on the new iPhone to iCloud and I get a message that there is not enough iCloud storage available. According to what I see I am using 1.5 GN of the 5 GB. Where is the problem and how do I fix it?

iPhone 17 Pro Max, iOS 26

It means the amount of data on your phone which you want to backup, exceeds the measly 5GB of free data Apple gives in iCloud. Simply upgrade your iCloud storage plan. You can go from the 5GB plan to the next level which is 50GB and that will cost you about $1 per month. Less than the cost of a couple premium drinks at Starbucks over a full year.
