How to migrate data from Windows 10 to Mac without a password?

I am new to the Mac and am migrating data from a Win 10 computer. The Migration Assistant on my Mac is asking for the password which I don't have. Can anyone help, please?

Unfortunately, you must have the Windows account password to use Migration Assistant — there is no way to bypass this requirement.

But you can still migrate your files without the password.

BEST SOLUTION FOR MOST PEOPLE

➜ Log into ANY admin account on the PC

→ copy files from C:\Users\<your username>

→ move them to the Mac manually.

This avoids all password problems and works 100% of the time.
