The iPhone X cannot update to iOS 26 and is forever stuck at iOS 16. You would need an iPhone 11 or newer to run iOS 26. Any future updates to the iPhone X will only be decimal updates, such as 16.7.12, the current software.

Not even remotely possible. You should have gotten a clue when your iPhone X didn't get iOS 17 or iOS 18, so it surely isn't going to ever get iOS 26. EVER.

Time to buy a new iPhone.
