Old iMessages from iPhone loading on new iPad
Just bought a new iPad and using same AppleID as my iPhone. iMessages are syncing. I’ve gone online to try and undo this but I’m still getting old messages from my iPhone loading on my new iPad

Stop ALL messages from syncing to the iPad (recommended)
On the iPad:
- Settings → Messages
- Turn iMessage = OFF
This completely disconnects Messages on the iPad.
No new or old messages will sync in.
