iMessage video not showing in Photos app after saving on iPhone 11

I have iPhone 11 iOS 18.6.2. I have a video sent to my messages and I’m trying to save to my photos. When I press the video and select save it’s not showing in picture. Where is it saving?

Cannot delete video that is too large to send via text I added a video to a text, tried to send it and somehow managed to have the "edit video" disappear before I could edit it. Now it won't send the video (says I have to have iMessage enable to send this message). iMessage is enabled, but it won't send and there's no way to remove it from the text. The only way I can send a text is to send a picture with text below it. Then I'm left with my too long video in the thread. I have turned my phone off, but it didn't change anything. I have an iPhone 12 with the latest update.

Photos and videos not displaying in Messages app on iPhone I got a new iPhone 17 earlier this week and updated to the latest iOS (26.1). If I go into the Messages app, choose a conversation, and choose the Photos tab, I can see the pages of small versions of the images in rows of 3. However, if I select one past the first four screens or so, I only get the word "photo" with a harvey ball. Image is attached below. This is also the case for all of my conversations. I also can't see videos - I just get the word "video" with an icon of a video camera and "MOV" with a harvey ball. I turned off and restarted my phone - that got me access to a few photos but mostly did not help. How can I regain access to these photos and videos that were shared with me via Messages? Thank you.

I can't find my photos in iMessage after updating to iOS 18 For some reason after updating to the IOS 18 on my IMessage I cannot find the section to see all the photos and screenshots I have. I did restart my phone. I have everything turned on to save In chat. I have backup as well. Is anyone else having this problem? I was able to see it fine till I updated [Re-Titled by Moderator]

You can fix it by forcing Photos to rebuild its library index:

Settings → Photos → turn off iCloud Photos
Choose Download Photos & Videos (not delete)
Restart phone
Turn iCloud Photos back on

This forces a resync and usually makes missing videos appear.
