Question

Cannot change genre or metadata for digital books

How do you change the genre (or any meta data) for digital books that came with an album. I changed the genre on a group of albums to group related genres into a single list. However I cannot change the Digital books that came with several of the albums. TAHOE 26.1/ Music 1.6.1.44

Digital Booklets in Apple Music:

are PDF extras
use a fixed, non-editable metadata class
cannot have their genres changed
cannot be edited through Get Info
can only be organized using playlists or moved to Books.app

You can’t modify them in Music 1.6.1.44 on macOS Tahoe 26.1.

Thank you, that makes sense.

The problem I was trying to resolve was the digital book showed up as a separate item from the album making it look like I had two copies when I was in album view.
