Face ID Apple Pay iPad Problem

Unable to load Apple Pay into AssistiveTouch to enable Face ID confirmation. This works admirably on my iPhone , but I can’t use it on the iPad. The switch says it will allow Face ID confirmation AND Double Click. However with the switch in the on position double click will not, and assistivetouch can’t because it can’t be set. On the iPhone in Customize top Level Menu, Apple Pay is one of the select options (just below (Volume Down). It’s no where to be seen on the iPad. Does anybody know why?

Problem is with 12.9 Pro 5 th generation and running iOS 26.1

I'm having the same problem as well with exactly the same iPad Pro. iPadOS 18.x, using AssistiveTouch, I was able to get down to level 4-5 were the Apple Pay/Face ID, could be used to download an app from the App Store. Now it only takes me down three levels and no further. As a quadriplegic, I cannot use my hands to tap the screen. Why would it work fine with iPadOS 17 and iPadOS 18 but it is no longer available for iPadOS 26?

Please contact Apple Support for assistance. It’s possible the feature was removed or altered as a security precaution. I’ve noticed over the years that security and fraud concerns have tightened/restricted Apple Pay more and more. Sorry.
