It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

Well call me crazy but since my update to IOS 26.1 everything on my iphone 16pro is different. I mean everything. Let me just mention a few my login screen. My clock app is no longer black but rather white. my text message screen. My phone app home screen and within it my calls screen, contact screen, my search screen. My camera app. I could go on and on. EVERYTHING has changes and quit frankly I have spent hours trying almost everything I can to make simple changes...Excuse my language but (fill in the blank),

While I understand your first sentence, BEFORE I updated my iPhone 14 from iOS 18 to iOS 26, everything worked fine. After?? Nope. HUGE issues with the phone function. Everything else seemed to work but the phone function itself was jacked.

The easiest description is a delay when 1) dialing, waiting for someone to answer or 2) answering, waiting for someone to be able to hear me.  If I call you, sometimes I'll hear it ringing right away and then you answering like normal.  Other times, the first sound I'll hear is your voice with no ringing or anything on my end.  When you call me, the phone will light up and may make noise immediately like normal.  Other times it lights up and NEVER makes a sound.  The delays/lag can be anywhere from 5-30 full seconds.

I took it to MicroCenter and they were able to get it back to correct.

Along comes iOS 26.1 and right back to the same problems as before.

Visited the Apple Store. They suggested reprovisioning my phone with Verizon. No change.

Ordered a new phone through my company thinking it might just be because my phone was older.

Nope. Exact same problem because, during setup, I stupidly updated to iOS 26.1.

Yesterday I found a new little aggravation: I can't conference anyone into a call. If I try it just drops the original caller. Did hard resets multiple times, reset the network settings. NOTHING.

A phone that won't operate as a phone is useless in my world. Apple needs to own this one as there are too many people having issues for this to NOT be tied to the iOS update.

Hi I totally understand I woke up this morning and the phone app icon has disappeared from my homescreen. The update was done a week ago and I didn’t delete it and now I can’t get access to my call history to call people or places like before. I don’t want to reset my phone because it looses lots and I thought it was a bug when I downloaded DuckDuckGo so I deleted but it didn’t work I’m going to see if I have an old screenshot of my call history and my phone history as I don’t know how to remove this iOS 26 update as this has never happened to me before I didn’t think iPhones were meant to get bugs so that’s why I deleted that search engine app and turned it off and on nothing it’s still hidden and how do I get the phone app and call history available to access please help
