Mail app search not working after macOS Tahoe

After update to macOS Tahoe (26.1) search in Mail app does not work. It searches only last 2-3 email with said phrase. Search on iOS searches those emails.

I already tried to rebuild inbox, but I don't even know whether it did something.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 26.1

You are going to have to get Spotlight to reindex your Mac. If you haven't already I would also suggest that do a SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

Spotlight and Terminal

Copy/Paste this into Terminal. sudo will ask for your password. Just type the password and hit return. It won't show anything on screen.

sudo mdutil -X /; sudo mdutil -i on /; sudo mdutil -E /

Then, restart or log out and log back into your account.
