iPhone audio suppression disrupting live music livestream on YouTube

iPhone audio suppression livestream problem

I have been live streaming since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. Since then I have done over 1300 live streams totaling more than 3000 hours. My YouTube channel just took off where I have an excess of 10,000 live viewers per hour. Three days ago the automatic noise suppression feature eliminated the sound of the music in my live streams. It stopped my progress dead in its tracks. When I disable the noise, suppression it somehow figures out a way to work and destroy my live stream. Music is not noise. Is anyone else having this problem?

iPhones don’t include any system-level feature that automatically suppresses or filters audio during livestreams on YouTube or other third-party apps. If you’re seeing audio suppression, it’s coming from the app itself — many livestreaming platforms build in their own noise reduction or voice-enhancement tools. The best next step is to check that app’s settings or contact the developer to confirm what audio processing they use.
