Nope. Once updated, there is no support for downgrading.

All of what I said started right after my phone was updated

I don't doubt that. But again, updates don't often cause such issues. But I can see why you'd blame it on the update. You didn't answer any of my questions about whether you backed up before you updated, or did a Forced Restart after the update? You should ALWAYS backup your phone immediately before updating it. This will give you a good place to restore from if something goes wrong.

I'd schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and let Apple help you here --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

It has changed just about everything on my phone. It has deleted most of my passwords. I can’t use Face ID and several apps freeze up most of the time

iOS 26.1 is not capable of doing the things you're referring to. None of those things happened to me or anyone I know on iOS 26.1. Did you Force Restart your iPhone after you updated (something recommended after an iOS update) --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Now, something could have gone wrong with the update. But updates don't cause Face ID issues. Updates don't delete passwords either. Before you updated, did you do a backup as you should have done before updating your iPhone? Depending on when you updated, you may be able to restore that backup to your phone. See how here --> Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

While everyone’s particular setup and apps vary …

… I finally migrated my own 14 Pro Max to 26.1 (from iOS 18) just a week ago.

It’s running great w/o any known hickups, liquid glass is just fine with me, and I have zero “Upgrader’s Remorse.

One thing I DID note … once the screen came back to normal … the phone looked “ready” … but it clearly wasn’t. (Web sites refused to load, apps wouldn’t fully launch, … etc.)

Don’t panic … my phone churned-along for another 20m or so and then everything was all A-OK again.

My only recommendation based solely on my own experience is: “When it ‘looks done’ leave it alone for another 30m
