Stop texts from appearing on two iPhones

You’ll be chasing shared data and shared settings and other details until these phones are using distinct Apple Accounts. If you want to share purchases and such across phones, use Family Sharing for the two accounts.

Are they signed into the same account?

Here’s a solution that might work, if you have enough space on your iPhones. This will stop future messages from syncing.

Try turning off Messages in iCloud on the devices if possible.

1. Open Settings
2. Tap Apple Account (your name)
3. Tap iCloud
4. Tap Messages
5. Turn off Use on this [device type].

This should work to stop them from syncing.

You can check if it worked:

1. Open Settings
2. Tap Apps
3. Tap Messages
4. In Text Message Forwarding, it should say that it’s off for the devices.
