Often, the only way to remove a carrier lock on the phone is to contact the carrier that the phone is currently locked to and ask the carrier to unlock the phone.

Contact your carrier to start the process.

If you don't have a carrier, then you must have purchased the phone from someone else. In that case, you will need to contact that person and ask them to contact the carrier to have the carrier remove the lock on the phone.

If that person has disappeared.......very often the case.....you likely have a useless phone.

Only the carrier to whom the phone is locked can release the lock - if they choose to do so.

If you are not their customer, or if the phone was purchased on a contract that has not been fully paid off, they might well decline to unlock it.
