A gray rectangle left after fullscreening a video

A weird gray rectangle appears when I fullscreen a video sometimes. And this rectangle will be left even if I exit fullscreen. The only way I can get rid of this rectangle is to restart my macbook.

I am using:

Macbook pro m1,

MacOS 15.7.2,

chrome,

I encountered this problem on both bilibili.com and youtube.

fixes: chrome://restart, log out/in, toggle hardware acceleration, update Chrome.
Safari does not have this issue.

May consider an alternative https://brave.com which is essentially Google Chrome without the Google baggage
