Check for an update to the Facebook app. There was one just 4 days ago to go along with the previous 11 updates in just the last month. Any resolution will need to come from Meta. The bug/update/bug cycle has been going on for quite a while now with Meta as it would seem very little in-house testing is being done with that kind of update frequency, and the users are the bug testers.

They have never been known for offering much in the way of Customer Support, but you can start here. They don't have a Support Site such as this where users can discuss issues they are having with any of the Meta apps.

If deleting the app and re-installing didn't help, you'll just need to wait for Meta to fix, if they ever do, their extremely buggy app. Meanwhile, use a browser.

Yes, this is a very common problem. It seems to be somewhat worse on iPads. Given how often Meta updates their apps, I suspect they realize they don't work very well. It's important to keep in mind that you are not Meta's customer, you are their resource. Their customers are the people who buy advertising space.

Again. Your choice. But then you're at the mercy of other developers like Meta to hopefully make their app work well with iOS 18.6.2. That may not be a priority for them. And Apple has absolutely no control over Meta or any 3rd party application. Hopefully, they'll release an update which fixes this for you. Hopefully.

Technology is forever changing. You can lock yourself out of change if you want. But that can come with consequences. Personally, I embrace change and stay current for new features and security updates/bug fixes.

You are running a rather out of date iOS on your iPhone. I'm on iOS 26.1 and have the latest Facebook version and have no issues commenting or seeing my comments on my iPhone or iPad. Is there a reason you haven't updated your iPhone in months?

OK. That's certainly your right. But then you can't be upset when things change and you aren't updated to a level that will accommodate a change.

Sadly, then, you'll need to wait until Meta fixes it. It seems to be a pretty common issue.
