iPhone 6 cannot sync with iTunes

Hello Apple Pros. I use an older iPhone 6 for uploading music to listen to while I stroll in the woods. Suddenly, I notice that I cannot sync to iTunes any longer. iTunes is fully updated, but it cannot connect to iTunes now. (I already checked many of the standard issues, like USB connections, drivers, etc.) Any suggestions how to fix this issue?!? Thanks in advance.
