my phone is lost in my house, its on silent and is probably now low on charge, i have searched everywhere and cant find it . "find my" says its in the house, is there away to force a loud ping even when the phone is on silent ?

Um... yes... in find my, click the "play sound" button.
As long as it has an internet connection and has not powered off because the battery is flat, it will play a sound regardless of the silence or volume settings.

You'll have to look for it the old fashioned way with your eyes.
You can ask Siri a question tell her turn your flash light or tell her to set a alarm and if u listen when she responds u will here her good luck
