Question

How do I stop scrolling text?

I want to have a few lines of text scroll up into the frame and then stop. How do I do that?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Final Cut Pro 7

Use Title Crawl and keyframe the last parameters in the controls. Percentage I think it's called.

Michael,

use BORIS text editor generator and choose Crawl.
Then scroll down in the controls and check the box *Use Percent Completion*,
then use the slider below to keyframe the stopping point for your text. Extend or shorten the text clip as you wish in order to affect the length of the text.
