How do I completely uninstall apps from my iPhone 13 mini?

So I have a iPhone 13 mini, and I have some apps I want to uninstall, but I can only remove some apps from homescreen, I can’t uninstall from App Store or settings, I tried resetting all my settings and I tried disabling screen time content restrictions. None of those have worked and I don’t know what to do at this point.

Refer to this support article to learn how to delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. --> Delete apps on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

How to delete an app

1. Touch and hold the app.

2. Tap Remove App.

3. Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.

Keep in mind that some built-in Apple apps can't be deleted from your device, so you might not see the option to delete an app. See this support article for a list of built-in Apple apps you can delete from your device: Delete built-in Apple apps from your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch - Apple Support If you can't delete an app that's not made by Apple, disable parental controls as outlined in this article: Use parental controls to manage your child's iPhone or iPad - Apple Support then try deleting the app again.

- If the device is managed (check: Settings > General > VPN (or Profiles & Device Management), contact the technology department of the organization that is doing the managing.

Ok, the confusing part is when you said "I can only remove some apps from homescreen", so it sounded like you only had an issue with some apps.

It is not possible to uninstall from the App Store or Settings at all, so not sure what you were referring to when you said "I can’t uninstall from App Store or settings", thought maybe you were looking there to uninstall.

Instead of just turning off Content & Privacy Restrictions, try going to Settings > Screen Time and turning off Share Across Devices and also navigate to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store > Deleting Apps, and making sure that is set to Allow.

And finally post a screenshot of what you see when pressing and holding on the app after choosing Remove App.

I can suggest one more thing and that is a Force Restart, but it may be the case that you are going to need to contact Apple directly.

  • Press and quickly release volume up
  • Press and quickly release volume down
  • Press and HOLD side button until the Apple logo appears. This could take up to 15 seconds while holding the side button and you have to ignore anything else on the screen. If you do not see the Apple logo, then try again as it may take a couple of attempts to get the speed and sequence correct.

Without a resolution there, then here is the link to contact Apple. Please update if there was something I had missed and you were able to get it resolved.
