Primary category flooded with non-urgent transaction emails I can’t remove due to “time-sensitive” categorization
I use Apple Mail on macOS (also on iOS, but I’m managing categories from my Mac). I have multiple accounts configured, including iCloud and others.
I receive many bank and credit card transaction emails. Mail automatically places them in the Primary category because it flags them as “time sensitive.” I’ve tried manually moving these messages to the Transactions category so they stay organized, but they continue to appear in both Primary and Transactions.
It seems that once Mail labels a message as “time sensitive,” it forces it to remain visible in Primary—even after I’ve explicitly assigned it to another category. This defeats the purpose of categories, as my Primary inbox gets cluttered with non-urgent transactional emails I’ve already categorized elsewhere.
Is there a way to prevent “time-sensitive” messages from showing in Primary once they’ve been manually assigned to another category? Or is this a known limitation/bug?
Thanks in advance for any help!
