IOS26.1 locks up unexpectedly
Irritating problem with iOS 26.1. My latest generation iPad mini And iPhone 16 and older M1 iPad Air all lock up randomly. They are stuck on the Home Screen and you cannot swipe up and dismiss app running in the background. The only fix is to access shutdown from the General screen (shortcut to do this do not work). Even then, I have to swipe on the shutdown bar a dozen or so times before it works. Then, wait 30 seconds and power back on and everything works as it should. This lockup happens once or twice a day. I think it’s related to an app, but I cannot determine which one - Kaiser, Kindle, Notes, Safari, Mail, Gmail and Messages are the apps running in the background or were recently used when this happens. Not earth shattering, but REALLY irritating. Oh, and I mostly use this new iPad Mini because I read lots of watercolor and urban sketching books on Kindle. The colors are just amazing. Best iPad ever.
