Avoid LaCie external drive registration

HI, I have just bought an external drive LACIE 2TB, and, when I connect it to my MAC, it takes me to their website to register. I do not want to register. Do you know if I can avoid this process and just move to the Time Machine set up?

It is recommend to always erase/reformat/initialize as new any purchased drive— this will remove any proprietary software installed, which typically can cause access issues in the future with subsequent macOS point-updates or upgrades.

GUID (partition map) / APFS (file format type)

This is the top most 'parent' drive; Choose View > Show All Devices
