macOS 26 toolbar have a vertical line and different colors

Hi!

The toolbar looks unfinished or like a GUI glitch. The vertical line that crosses the toolbar and the 2 different colors under it. Sequoia had the separate area for the toolbar with the unified color and no vertical line like that. Has it been discussed already?

Ok, now I got to see what you mean. I always use Column View, so I had not experienced List View with the preview column on.

AFAICT, in Dark Mode at least, the dividing line is always there, but the color is not always different. It may be picking up something from layers under it.

I took two screenshots from the same window. In one the preview column had a different color, the other it didn't; but that difference did NOT appear in the screenshot - the two screenshots came out identical.

I am sure that the new "liquid glass" stuff, in addition to very questionable design choices, also suffers from initial implementation bugs. Columns bleeding out into other columns, the search box crossing the vertical line like this:

if deliberate, are plainly stupid. There's also the awful screen glitching in the Contacts application, and more.

Do you see this in one specific application, or everywhere?

I see it in Finder and Forklift (developer said it's normal, because it's MacOS design now)

Do you see the same problem: a) in Dark Mode?; b) in Light Mode, when your mac is started in Safe Mode?

Yes I see it in any mode. Does your finder window with preview pane activated look differently?
