Spellcheck stopped working in Outlook (browser

Spellcheck suddenly stopped working in Outlook (browser). My System Settings for the MacBook are such that under Keyboard > Input Settings > "Correct spelling automatically" is turned ON. Spelling does seem to be corrected (autocorrect for typos and misspellings are underlined in red) in browsers in general and texts, but for some reason email Outlook STOPPED working a few months ago, and it's frustrating. I have been sending emails with embarrassing typos. I need the red underline for words misspelled. I checked online, it said it's the MacBook settings, but I ensured they're on. I have tried using the "Customize Editor" option to change settings. I've tried "Enable autocorrect" and turning on "Spelling" under "Corrections." Sometimes it'll work temporarily for that specific email (I'll see the red underline on typos), but then it always stops working when I open a new email. How can I fix this? Why did it stop working?
