Thank you for responding.

The Merchant was listed as Chinatown Food Corporation

OK, I'm a retiree and not a social media giant. I understand the Phishing thing as I get them in my email and text messages. I can't understand how a phishing attempt shows up in Apple Cash? What info did they hijack for me to get this? Is it common? I changed my Apple PW and I've always had 2-FA in place.

Yes, I have Apple Cash setup in Wallet and have used it. I received the notice on my iPhone 2am transaction was declined. That shocked me because I had not used it. It did not remove funds from my bank account. That's a good thing.

However, I'm trying to figure out how someone made that happen within the Apple infrastructure? The answer to that will tell me where I failed in security or use of Apple Cash.

It was a notification. When I turned on my iPhone in the morning there was a pop-up notice at top of my iPhone screen and the transaction and that it was declined. That really scared me.

I opened Wallet and tapped on Apple Cash ( I have two other Banks card there)

Latest Transactions showed Chinatown Food Corporation and the amount has a line through it. Under that is "Declined" in red letters and the amount has a line through it.

If I tap on the Transaction it shows SHOPPING and under that Chinatown ........
