Apple Intelligence Mail text formatting issue

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to figure out whether this issue is happening only to me or if others are experiencing the same problem.

Whenever I use the Apple Intelligence “Compose with ChatGPT” or “Rewrite” feature in the Mail app on my iPhone (iOS 26.1), the generated text appears in multiple colors and multiple font styles. My emails end up looking like a mix of green, blue, purple, and black text, all in different font sizes and weights.

This happens every single time I use the AI-compose features, But not on brand-new emails with no previous formatting. I’ve attached a screenshot that shows exactly how the formatting looks.

What I’ve already tried:

Restarted the phone

Updated iOS

Reset Apple Intelligence settings

Disabled and re-enabled Mail access

Factory reset my phone

No third-party fonts installed

No email signature formatting

No custom profiles

None of these steps fixed the issue.

My questions for the community:

Is anyone else experiencing this issue when using Apple Intelligence in Mail?

Has anyone found a workaround?
