Safari layout in iPadOS 26.1
I am looking at Safari>Settings>Tabs and do not see any layout options.

Is this a bug or intentional? I want the search bar at the bottom. Tried all the usual stuff,ideas?
Not a bug. iOS for iPhone and iPadOS for iPad are closely related - but differ in key aspects.
Safari for iPhone does indeed have the option of placing the search bar and other elements at the bottom of the screen - principally to facilitate one-hand operation. By comparison, the much larger form factor (and screen) of an iPad does not have the same physical constraints of the much smaller iPhone - and as such, lacks some of the features associated with iPhone.
