MainStage Playback Markers disappear on reopening

Dear Apple Support Team,

I am writing to report a serious and long-standing bug in MainStage that is still present in the latest version (3.7.1), and which has a critical impact on live performance reliability.

The issue concerns Playback Markers linked to a Screen Control:

When a Screen Control’s “Marker” box is linked to a Playback audio track, the markers display correctly — but only until the project is closed. After quitting and reopening MainStage, the markers disappear completely. Even though the Patch and Concert were saved correctly, the marker link is not retained.

Re-linking the Marker box temporarily restores them, but the problem repeats every time MainStage is closed and reopened. This makes MainStage unreliable for live performances: I have over 40 songs in my concert and I would need to manually relink markers for every single patch before shows.

This issue first appeared around version 3.2 and is still present in 3.7.1. There are online forum posts from as far back as 2015 describing the exact same bug, yet it has never been resolved.

This is a critical workflow-breaking problem for musicians who rely on markers for live performances.

I kindly request that this issue be treated as urgent and that Apple either:

• Provides a fix through an update

or

• Recommends an official workaround to preserve Playback Markers correctly
