in newly updated ios 26, using my custom wallpaper, and cannot not change lock screen clock font or size. I cannot read the transparent font on my dark background.

Yes, very often existing wallpapers cannot have the customisation of the time box.
Create a new wallpaper, use only the left most font, then it should be ok to resize and to modify the glassiness.
