Hello Community,
on a Mac mini M4 Pro running Sequoia, I paired a Magic Keyboard whose layout is French Canada. They keyboard works, soft of. Instead of producing the right caracters for Frecnh Canada, it produces caracters for an English QWERTY keyboard. This is the keyboard layout :
I get / instead.
Why is not the the right caracter generated ?

You just have wrong input source active. Go to system settings / keyboard / text input / edit / all input sources and use the + and - buttons at the bottom to add Canadian CSA if necessary and remove everything else.

I don't think the Voice Control language has any effect on what keyboard keys produce on the screen.

you are right ! That worked and no need to reboot. I guess I can now bring back MacOS in English.

Go to the System Settings ➙ Accessability ➙ Language ➙ Language and click on Add Language:
In the next window select French ➙ Canada:
You may have to reboot but check first.
