iPhone Air 2025 makes random outgoing calls while charging

Random outgoing calls at night while charging

I’m having a strange issue with my brand new iPhone Air 2025 and I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same.

Within just a couple of months after release, I’ve already had two incidents of completely random outgoing calls in the middle of the night.

• The first time, the phone called the second contact in my Recents list.
• Tonight at 01:25, it called the third contact in the Recents list.
• Both times I woke up to voices coming from the speaker — and unfortunately, I also ended up waking the people the phone called.

Important context:

• The phone was on the charger both times (first time wired, second time wireless).
• Siri is turned off.
• All accessibility and additional gesture/voice features are also disabled.
• No unusual apps installed.
• No one touched the phone — it was lying still on the bedside table.

Has anyone seen similar behavior on the iPhone Air 2025?

Could this be a ghost-touch issue, a charging-related bug, or something else?

Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.
