How do I remove or disable the lock icon on the home screen after the IOS 26.1 update to my iPhone 15Pro? It suddenly popped up on the screen and when I tap it, it locks me out of everything! If I double-tap it, it unlocks everything. I can move the icon up and down the screen by holding it and sliding it but I just can't get it to go away. It is in the way and I tap it by accident a lot.

Do you have assistive touch turned on for some reason?
It may help to post a screenshot of what you are seeing.

No. I do have some assistive abilities turned on but they are for visual issues. I have low-vision. I've turned them off but the icon remains.
Aahh! Good thinking! It was Hover Text that was still turned on. I turned it off and the icon went away. What a weird feature! Why would they put an icon on the lock screen that locks everything just because you have hover Text turned on? Thank you so much!
