Epson 3880 can't communicate with any Apple computer.

Epson 3880 can't communicate with any apple computer. I had a technician try to fix the printer and he can print perfectly from his windows laptop. My laptop (Monterey) my desktop (Sequoia) tries to send info to the printer and it is waiting waiting waiting, meanwhile shows the printer in use. I can't get supply info or do a nozzle check. Nothing. I have spent hours on this problem, removed and added the printer, re-installed the driver. Talked to Epson, talked to apple. This just started happening. A technician brought another 3880 that he had in his shop, and the same thing happened so it's clearly a problem. I've spent hours on this, can anyone help? Because Epson keeps saying it's an apple issue, and apple says it's an Epson issue. By the way this is a wired computer, and I bought a new cable and that didn't help.

Mac mini, macOS 15.6

have you tried their latest drivers?

the way hardware drivers works is that the hardware manufactorer makes a driver and add it for apple or microsoft for that matter to bundle it it with their operating system. if they find bugs or the likes later on the user has to go to their site to get a newer version. apple or microsoft for that matter never ever made a driver for third party hardware like printers.

so unless apple made some changes to macos which inabled epson from making a working driver to communicate with the hardware in their printer, then the support case in on the shoulders of epson
