Transferring Keynote files to Books

Hi Everyone,

Have done a terrific keynote presentation and want to transfer the files into a BLURB book 13x11inches but having no success. It was initially done for a Wide screen 16:9. It translates to A4 size but hard to print a decent size book (100 pages) at this size without doing a spiral bound which I do not want. Any great advice would be most appreciated?!

It isn't clear what you're trying to do, or what's preventing you from doing it.

I'll start with the assumption that 'BLURB book' is a commercial printing service that will produce a physical book from media you provide.

Second, you don't explain what's preventing you from just printing the Keynote presentation as PDF and sending that. You allude to some issue with page size, but don't clarify what that is. A4 is not 16:9, BTW, not even close, all A* paper sizes use the ratio of 1:1.414).

Is the issue that your presentation is based on 16:9 and when you print it on A4 you get a border?

if that's the case, you can edit (a copy?) of your presentation and change the 'slide' size to match a sheet of A4 (210 x 297mm) via Inspector -> Document. This will expand/shrink the canvas, and you will likely have to manually adjust (or at least check) each slide to see how its content fits the new dimension.

Sorry, yes the BLURB book is a great commercial photo printing service and I normally do book in INDESIGN and send a pdf. This time I did the Keynote first and exported both as pdf and jpegs which fitted an A4 size but I want a book size of 13x11inches (33x28cm).

Slide size was 16:9 so I could have nursing home residents view on big screen! I have tried standard size as well (4:3) but that leaves a big margin on top and bottom.

Care of Google Gemini!!!

I have just managed to change the slide size to 936pts:792pts which is 13in:11in so I will have to adjust my photos to have less of a margin but it will be quicker then starting from scratch again with indesign.

Another learning curve! Thanks for responding.
