iPhone friend locations not updating after iOS 17 update
Updated my phone to 17 and now half my friendlist location will not update (it does on my mac) and they cna see mine
You’ll see all your friends’ locations on all your devices signed in with an Apple ID without them having to share again, because location sharing in Find My is tied to your Apple ID, not the device. As long as your iPhone is signed in with the same Apple ID, the “People” list appears automatically on all devices.
But your own location can only be shared from one device at a time.
You can choose which iPhone broadcasts your location by going to Find My → Me → Share My Location From → [Select Device].
Everyone else’s locations? Visible on all devices.
Your location? One broadcaster at a time — like choosing which phone gets to be the “GPS spokesperson.”
