Left conversation, now in limbo
I left a four-person conversation accidentally - I don't even know how. Group members cannot add me back because it says I'm still in the conversation. How can I get back in?
Re-enable your phone number and iMessage identity
Go to:
Settings → Messages → Send & Receive
Make sure:
- Your phone number is checked
- Your Apple ID email is checked
- “Start new conversations from” is set to your number
If anything was OFF → turn it ON, wait 30 seconds, then ask someone to add you again.
