ELUTENG M.2 NVME SATA SSD Enclosure Ejecting

I have 2 x SAMSUNG 980 SSD 1TB PCle 3.0x4, NVMe M.2 2280, Internal Solid State Drives, that have worked flawlessly until the latest versions of MAC OS, (currently running 26.1); Now my SSD(s) in these cases keep disconnecting. Do you know of anything that can be done to prevent this, please?

Mac mini, macOS 26.1

Turn OFF “Put hard disks to sleep when possible”

This setting aggressively powers down USB storage now.

Go to:

System Settings → Displays & Battery → Battery / Power Adapter

Turn OFF:

  • Put hard disks to sleep when possible

Restart the Mac.

This alone solves the problem for many users.
