My iPhone 8 Plus keeps writing that my Apple ID is inactive and it’s not allowing me to sign out of the iPhone. I have tried all possible means by even resetting my iPhone. It’s still don’t let me sign out. I can’t use iMessage nor iCloud . Please, how can I resolve it
An inactive Apple Account is usually one that has been deleted by the Account owner. The only way to remove an Apple Account from a device where you are unable to gain access is by providing the proper documentation to remove the Activation Lock.

If you see the message below, or similar "inactive" messages:
- "Inactive" Apple ID/Account
- "Verification Failed. This Apple ID is not active."
If you see an alert with a Request Access button, you might be able to request access to your account by tapping Request Access. If you have not used the account in a long time, note:

If you cannot get the account activated again, Apple can completely reset a device if a person can provide sufficient evidence of valid ownership. Read the requirements and steps for an Activation Lock support request at: https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support and links at the bottom right for the type of service requested. Apple says they may require "proof of purchase documentation” and that you need “proof of ownership documentation”, but does not detail what currently constitutes proof other than it “must include the product serial number, IMEI or MEID.” User reports on this community indicate that typically Apple will ONLY accept an original receipt issued by Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller. Presumably this is the only kind Apple can authenticate against fraud since Apple is not involved in third party sales. If Apple resets the device this will give you access to the device but won't restore access to the account used to lock it. There is nothing that can be done to expedite an Activation Lock request.
