My wife sets up calendar appointments in meet.google.com. I accept them on my Macbook and the events get added to my Calendar app but they do not add to my Calendar on my iPhone. I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max with iOS 26.1.

They are probably being added to the Google calendar, not the iCloud calendar. You need to add the Google account that you have on your MacBook to your iPhone. You can do this in Settings > Apps > Calendar >accounts. If it is already there just turn on the switch for Calendar in the account.
I have google calendar turned on. I get every other appointment notices on my iPhone except from her using meeting.google.com.
