Do I need Microsoft Office 365 on my MacBook Air?

Do I need to keep my Microsoft Office 365 membership active now that I got myself a McBook Air?

I had a windows laptop before, and I needed to have access to word, excel, etc., I am not an Outlook or Microsoft Teams user, so I am wondering if I can do without it now.

I know that I will need to learn all the programs or software in my MacBook but I am confident I will be able to.

Whether or not you need Office 365 is totally up to you. There are alternative apps that perform the same functions as Office 365. If you are using Office 365 in an office, school. or other environment where you have to share Office 365 documents, spreadsheets, etc. then you may be more compatible with others who are using Office 365. There other options such as LibreOffice if there is no need for you to be 100% compatible with others.

Is MS Office Required?:

Perhaps: I wouldn't say you need it always, though it may be required for school or work. MS Office 2024 and MS Office 2021 are still available for updates. But, MS Office 365 will always be renewable (for all of its existence). Get the subscription for multiple devices, and you'd save quite a bit. Note that in the middle of October, MS Office 2016 and MS Office 2019 support for those MS Office versions were discontinued, there fore, no bug fixes will be provided from then on out.
