Music is not resuming after an alarm

Instantly after the current ios upgrade my music is not resuming after an alarm. This is a significant nuisance as I have over 30 alarms set and listen to YouTube premium constantly. Is there any fix for this please?

YouTube Music is not an Apple product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support or YouTube Music Help - Google Support

The app developer or the device manufacturer may not have updated their software to ensure compatibility with the iOS version your device is currently running.

If you encounter any challenges with third-party applications or devices, the best course of action is to directly contact the app developer or the manufacturer for further assistance.

Here's a brief guide on how to contact the App Developer:

  1. Identify the app developer.
  2. Visit their website or app store listing.
  3. Look for their contact information or support channels.
  4. Clearly describe the issue you are facing.
  5. Provide any necessary information they may need.
  6. Follow their instructions and provide feedback.
  7. Be patient and follow up if needed.

By reaching out to the app developer, you increase your chances of receiving accurate and personalized support for the challenges you're experiencing. To contact an App developer --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

Thank you for your reply. YouTube was an example. It is happening across all souunds and interruptions (eg phone calls, Apple alarms).

I’m noticing that it’s not only me and is an Apple issue. I did the 26.2 software update that was sent shortly after the damaging ios 26.1 update.

I have a significant amount of alarms and now I can’t play music if I’m constantly having to restart the song. Sadly and seriously considering deleting all subscriptions and my phone. What a horrible mess.

The other reason, I believe it is definitely something to do with the Apple alarms is that Apple gave us the wonderful opportunity to create very detailed wording and add fun emojis in the alarm setting and the entire text used to populate when any app was open, now all we get is a little notification at the very top of the screen that, if we’re lucky, shows the first word. It’s changed the entire game of having an alarm; made it useless to use regularly. I’m honestly at a loss. I used it for work and at home.

I’m wondering if they’re pushing us elsewhere to purchase an alarm App.
