How do you get rid of Liquid Glass? How can I get my photo gallery and messages easily accessible. I believe in going forward if it means improvement. For me, this has made the iPhone more complicated. I don’t want to swipe to turn off alarm. You can barely see notifications through the Liquid Glass and my battery dies quicker.
Have you updated to iOS 26.2? If so you will see additional settings on your Lock Screen with a slider to adjust the Liquid Glass effects and the option to choose Solid colors. You also have a choice of colors to use that may help you see your Notifications better and change your Wallpaper.
If you don't want the swipe to turn off the alarm, then change it back. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch, and turn on Prefer Single Touch.
Not sure what issues you are referring to with the accessibility of the Photo Gallery and Messages. It may be best to post a new topic with any issues you are having and device details, as posting in a thread on how to undo 26.1 has been answered and we all know there is no Undo option. Now with iOS 26.2, this thread is not even relevant and you will likely see few people even looking at a thread for discussions about 26.1 at this point.

After a software update is installed for iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS, it cannot be downgraded to the previous version.
What you can do about this:
Open Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Display & Text Size, then toggle Reduce Transparency = on.
Also in Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Motion, then toggle Reduce Motion = on.
Also in Settings ➢ Display & Brightness ➢ Liquid Glass ➢ Tinted.
In addition, you can provide ⇢ Product Feedback.
If enough requests are made, your feedback might help with future development, like a toggle in the settings.
Good luck! 👋🏼😉
Apple has never supported downgrading.

Bottom line is that the update is not user friendly and changes were not an improvement.
For me they were. You can certainly have a different opinion and that is why the Feedback link has been posted so you can let Apple know how you feel. Of course everyone will not have the same opinion and the point is that they never have in any previous OS release either.
Some of those Liquid Glass effects can be reduced and the option to return to the single tap button to shut off the alarm has been provided, which is the basis of this support site. Opinions usually fall flat on a Support Site and are more useful on Social Media. As you can see, me telling you I like it is meaningless from a support perspective. The most updated list of options for reducing Liquid Glass have been compiled by another user here.

You can only go forward. That has always been the case. Speaking of that iOS 26.2 was just released today.

No way everyone thinks this is a good improvement.
Yes, I’m sure that not everyone thinks it is a good improvement. But that does not mean the everyone thinks it is bad. Any time there is any change there are some people who like it, some who hate it, and the overwhelming majority who don’t care.

Nobody has ever been able to agree on anything since the history of time. Heck my family cannot even come up with a dinner idea that everyone wants and we certainly are not going to be making 3 different meals every night.
Yes I did update. I cannot be the only one having these issues. Too bad you cannot have an option for Liquid Glass. No way everyone thinks this is a good improvement.
Bottom line is that the update is not user friendly and changes were not an improvement.

In your opinion only. Others have different opinions think it's great. I do.
I’m sure Apple is getting overwhelming amounts of feedback from what I just saw. Wonder if IPhone updates will be able to compete with Elon Musk’s phone coming out next year.
