Merge the characters in the album and the sliding of the home screen page

I want to merge the characters in the album on the iPhone 12mini of ios26.2, but after clicking the merge option, the album will definitely flash back, and the characters will not be merged successfully. And I don't know why I feel that something prevents me from sliding to the next page when I slide the page on the desktop,I have to use more force to slide to the next page.
