GarageBand Acoustic Drummers sound like bleeps on iPadOS

The "Acoustic Drummer" options in GarageBand 2.3.10 iPadOS stopped playing the drum sounds properly. They no longer sound like drums. All the drummers and all the setting options sound like bleeps and splats. They used to sound like drums. Even older finished tracks with "Acoustic" drums sound like bleeps and splats.

Some of "Smart Drums" kits still sound like drums, but other kits do not. Example: all the cymbal options sound like a closed high hat; all the drumheads sound the same, weak and muted).

The "Beat Sequencers" still work properly. Meanwhile the electronic drum options mostly sound the same.

This either happened after an IOS update or after downloading a sound pack from the Sound Library (not a drum pack!).

Thoughts on fixing this?
