When I purchased my iPhone 17 about a month ago, it came with iOS 26.0. I upgraded to 26.1 and found I couldn't disable Apple Intelligence Reporting. […] I hoped the 26.2 version would resolve this, but it hasn't, and I still can't disable the button.
Could you describe, or perhaps attach a screenshot, indicating the specific UI parameter that’s dysfunctional? Is it an on/off toggle? Or does the module fail to open? Or smthg else?
Were you able to successfully implement the workaround suggested by forum member sberman (ie, set report duration => off)?

I think this bug is hit or miss because of the way it is being reported.
I don’t quite follow, but I am curious about your observation. Would you be willing to elaborate?

Generally speaking, the concerns that you guys are expressing are valid. I wish more ppl showed awareness of, and concern about, how their data is collected, stored, used, and/or shared.
In this particular instance, I think I can assuage any worry about the downstream data privacy implications of this bug. The term ‘Apple Intelligence Reporting’ is unfortunately vague and maybe even a bit misleading. These reports are generated for you as the end-user. They’re stored on your device and only temporarily (not shared with Apple).
